The Marshmallow Swirl Mash-up

Note: Please read this listing carefully before downloading. This tutorial will allow you to create a mash up of two of our favorite patterns. You will need to use the pattern pieces of the Peppermint Swirl Dress PDF Pattern for kids, and the Marshmallow Dress & Tunic PDF Pattern. The pattern pieces for both the bodice and the skirt are not included in this tutorial; this tutorial only covers how to mash up these two patterns.

Are you ready to get creative?

The ever so popular Peppermint Swirl Dress PDF Pattern  has been used many, many times to create the most amazing frocks every child would remember forever. However, sometimes you just want to match up some Awesomeness with a different bodice.

It could be because you’ve made so many of the original Swirls already, or you like an elastic back bodice better because it can be worn for a longer time than a fitted bodice. Or you just REALLY like straps and ruffle sleeves. Or…

This pattern tutorial shows you how to mash up the Peppermint Swirl Dress with the Marshmallow Dress to create a fairytale. Despite what you may think because of its elaborate looks, both patterns are super easy. The Peppermint Swirl Dress may look difficult, but this pattern was designed for and tested by first time sewists to make sure everyone, beginner or advanced, can make a dress so beautiful. Please do not be taken aback by how difficult it looks – I promise you, she is very easy to make. You can do it too!

The Marshmallow Dress Pattern has been designed with this very idea in mind: To mix the bodice up with the glorious skirt of the Peppermint Swirl Dress.

Of course, it can be challenging to mix and match these patterns if you are not sure how, or are a beginner sewist. That’s why we’ve created this free tutorial that will show you exactly how to do so.
