Are you ready to get creative?
This pattern add-on will show you how to create a playful and fun sleeve using the Princess Dress Pattern or the Peppermint Swirl Dress Pattern! Additional measurements, pattern pieces and thorough step-by-step instructions are included.
These sleeves come in six playful styles with various options and are perfect to bring some variation into your Princess dresses or Peppermint Swirl dresses, which can be especially fun if you have sewn more than a couple dozen already! These sleeves are less fitted and have a more relaxed look to them than the sleeves included in the Princess Dress pattern.
Whether you make the long ruffle sleeve, the short sleeve, or the regular long sleeve, you will have a different dress every single time. Alternate with shirring across the sleeve or by creating contrasting or hidden elastic casings; you can’t go wrong with these adorable sleeves.
Very thorough instructions have been added to create beautiful, professional-looking elastic casings on your sleeves. Of course, you can use shirring (sewing with elastic thread in your bobbin) on your sleeves too. Because shirring works a bit differently for every sewing machine and every seamstress, we have not included in-depth beginner’s instructions on how shirring works. It’s recommended to read your machine’s manual and test shirring before attempting to shirr.
This pdf pattern contains layers. PDF Layers allow you to turn on and off pattern pieces, grouped per size. This way, you can choose to print one or more sizes you want to print, instead of having to print them all by default.
This is a DIGITAL file that you print at home, not a finished item or a paper pattern. All seam allowances are already added. This pattern is for personal use only and may not be shared or forwarded with anyone else.
